DevOSD Tutorial

This is just a very short tutorial. This is just a bonus one actually.

First things first. You need to have a copy of DevOSD. Devosd is created by a veteran hongfire user and I'd rather you download it there. Also I'd prefer that he explained it for himself since he made the program and he has every right to do so.
If I were you, I'd download the latest version since it won't give you as much headache as its predeccesors. Here's the link: http://www.hongfire.com/forum/showthread.php/139063-devOSD-transparent-eroge-translation-overlay

● Open all the essential tools you'll need for engrish gaming like ITH, the game itself and TA. Yep, use TA. Also arrange it like in my screenshot. ATLAS then the Original Text. JUST MAKE SURE THAT YOU OPEN ALL OF THAT BEFORE OPENING THE DEVOSD.

● Open the Devosd next. It'll prompt you for a theme but I won't be bothered much over it since you can change it anytime. You'll now see a transparent box that places itself on top of every window you have on.

● Click the "M" at the left corner. It'll show off a menu full of self-explanatory icons. I'll plant my hand on my face on pronto if somebody asks me what they're for.

● Go to More > Preferences Panel. There you can change all of the settings that would suit your tastes and game. After that, click the Clipboard Hook.

Look at the bottom-right corner to see the Clipboard Hook.

● Just drag it over the game. Another plus, you can also adjust the size through the dotted isosceles triangle the right bottom-corner (see, I learned something from Geometry after all.). By the way, you can only use this on games currently on window mode. If it's full screen mode, it won't work well.

Again, I'm reminding you, I used The Second Reproduction here as a teaser for my next feature. You don't have to go the hard way to play this because an English Patch exists. Okay?

That's it. Easy, huh? I bet you didn't break a sweat over it.

  2. Yeah, I had the same problem, turns out that's why sasugasugoi said to switch the positions that Atlas and Original text are in TA.. BEFORE opening devOSD, my mistake as well. Hope this helps!

Please put your names on your comments so I can differentiate which Anon I'm talking to. To place your name, click the drop-down arrow in the "Comment as" and choose "Name/URL". No URL? Never mind that, then. Be civil in posting. Oh, and by the way, English is our universal language here. Occasional Japanese is fine.
Arigatou~! :>
